Hatha simply refers to the practice of physical yoga postures. The word “hatha” can be translated two ways: as “willful” or “forceful,” or the yoga of activity, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and spirit in preparation for meditation.
The Align & Refine class is suited for everyone from beginners to regular practitioners and will help to deepen your understanding of practicing within your anatomical neutral. Please consider bringing a beach towel to this class to assist with pose alignments.
Yin yoga consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses. Yin yoga works deeply into the body targeting the deepest tissues of the body, our connective tissues – the joints, bones, ligaments and the deep fascia networks.
